“We recently took my 4 year old for his first class experience, which is free. When I initially signed the waiver for the free class, I was expecting information on which class to come to because it wasn't stated on their website when to come for the free class. I called the number and it went to voicemail. I received a text immediately after my call and was told to pick any day to come for his age group (according to the schedule online). I picked a day and time that was within his age range 4-6. When we showed up, there was at least 30 kids there of all ages and only two instructors. After the warm up, which was chaos with 30 kids, my son was separated into his age group - which was about 4 boys and 2 girls. Keeping in mind my son has never been to a class, he was being taught a certain move and was instructed to lay on the ground and the teacher then pulled one of the TWO little girls and instructed the little girl to "mount" my son to practice this move. It was uncomfortable to watch and my first thought was that the little girls should definitely be practicing with the little girls. My husband and I are new to JJ but this immediately felt off. There was no interaction with the instructors until after the class and what interaction we did have, was very dry and not welcoming. Safe to say, we will not be back. Very unorganized, not engaging or informative with the parents, and it was inappropriate to have the little girls and little boys interacting in the way that they did.”
