“I was visiting over the Holidays from California and was openly welcomed to work out and roll. The gym feel was very relaxed and non traditional. The Technique taught was fantastic, as well as the additional feedback on my execution. The instructor was very welcoming to myself dropping by a few times during my week long visit in Lincoln, and the rolls were tough but friendly. It can be hard at times finding a place where students and staff don't have a huge ego. You will not have that problem here, as everyone was welcoming and so friendly. As just a visitor, they could have used the opportunity to beat me up and send me on my way, however they welcomed me to the fold and made me feel like family while I was there. Highly Recommend.”

“I Joined this gym around November during 2020 when I was still living In Lincoln Nebraska. I gonna say this is the BEST BJJ gym you can go to in Lincoln GUARANTEED! Travis is a great coach and teaches high end BJJ techniques. If you train with him at Capital city jiu jutsu for a while and goes out to other bjj gym you can hold your ground against most people and caught them off guard with the techniques you learn from Travis. I’m currently moved to New York right and been training at few Bjj and mma gyms, even back in Lincoln I went to other ones as well but none of them are as good and give better results compared to going to Travis’s gym. It might be hard when you first started if your a beginner and might want to quit, but like Travis once told me and made me stayed “it’s ok, just little ingredients at a time” eventually I did got better and improved so much which really gave me the confidence. That quote I will always remember, it really help me a lot and not to quit when learning and training gets hard even at other gyms. Just little ingredients at a time, from there I realize heel hooks is my signature ingredient in BJJ lol.
